Christmas shopping made easy with eBay Australia unveiling its hottest 2022 toys with classic, sustainable and affordable gifts topping the trends.
Survey results reveal the top toys Aussies plan on buying this Christmas are games and puzzles, with a board game sold every four minutes on eBay Australia, it’s obvious that a love for classics remains strong post-pandemic.
eBay’s survey results also reveal that, compared with previous years, just over 40 percent of us are more likely to buy a toy if they were aware it had been manufactured sustainably. Showing a growing shift towards purchasing sustainable gifts, more than one-third of Aussies are open to buying pre-loved or refurbished toys and a pre-loved toy is sold every minute on eBay.
While gifting remains valued, Aussies are feeling the pinch with almost 60 percent of Aussies surveyed saying the price of toys is a major factor in deciding which gifts they will buy due to cost of living pressures this year.
With survey results revealing almost one-quarter of Aussies are set to spend less this Christmas, eBay stepped in to give away a sleighful of toys for free!
Santa’s Sandpit by eBay was a one-day only event held on Saturday, 12 November at Darling Harbour, Sydney. On the day, 175 Aussie kids grabbed their shovels and headed to a giant festive sandpit to dig for this year’s trending toys.
eBay Australia gave away hundreds of this year’s hottest toys at ‘Santa’s Sandpit by eBay’.
