Aussie superstar, Arisa Trew, at just 14 years of age, is showing the world that sport is fun! With her pure talent and incredible joy, this gold medal winning Olympian is igniting a passion for skateboarding in kids across the world.
With an Olympic score of 93.18 in her third and final round, the Aussie superstar added Olympic gold to her two X Games titles earlier this year and became an Australian superhero.
“It feels amazing to have it (the medal),” the teenager revealed in her post win interview with ABC News Breakfast. “It’s been my goal since watching the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and that inspired me and made me want to come to this Olympics and just get to the podium, which is, like, amazing. I mean, I’m just going to keep skating and having fun and pushing myself to get better.”

Despite her young age, the Olympic Gold is not her first huge accomplishment! Last year the Gold Coast teen became the first woman to perform a 720 trick in a competition and in May the first woman to show a 900! She also won her event at the 2022 and 2023 X Games and in both Paris qualifying events, gaining the admiration of skateboarding great, Tony Hawk.
“Arisa Trew just became the first female to land a 900,” Hawk wrote to his 8.8 million Instagram followers, accompanied by a video of the skateboarding star nailing the landing. “Glass ceilings are so 2023. Congrats.”
