Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are now the parents of an 18 year old! Their son, James Wilkie has hit the exciting milestone and the occasion means fans have been giving a rare glimpse into his childhood thanks to a series of adorable images shared by his nostalgic mamma.
The Sex and the City star took to Instagram to share the previously-unseen photos that had been snapped throughout James’ childhood.
55yo Sarah Jessica and 58yo Matthew also share 11yo twin daughters, Marion Loretta and Tabitha Hodge.
Famously private about her children, these rare images give an insight to life at home for Sarah, Matthew and their beautiful kids.
The images, which show James as a sweet and happy toddler. Sarah Jessica captioned the shots: “October 28th, 2020. My beloved son, James Wilkie.
“On this day, you are 18 years old. I marvel at the passing of those years but equally the young man you are becoming.
“My love for you is an ache and an honor. As you leap toward and into your future, I remain your privileged and steadfast confident and joyful witness to the year ahead. Happy birthday my first-time voter. I love you so. X, Mama.”
Celebrity friends were quick to comment on the Hocus Pocus star’s nostalgic post including this from good friend, Bravo’s Andy Cohen: “Cannot believe he is 18! He is an incredible young man!”
Sarah Jessica replied: “Thank you dearest Andy. You are a big part of these last, gone so fast 18 years. You will know soon yourself. Xxx💙💙💙” referring to Andy’s role as a dad to his beautiful little son, Ben.

The family of five split their time between their Manhattan townhouse in West Village, and their beach side house in the Hamptons, where they spent a lot of lockdown.
Notoriously private about her family life, this little glimpse is a rare treat from the Footloose star who rarely shares photos of her children on social media in order to protect their privacy.
Speaking with KIIS FM, the First Wives Club star said: “Parents who aren’t well known can have children who aren’t grounded because of the example they set in their home.”
Sarah Jessica explained that her own childhood which was not wealthy inspired her to ensure that she would only give her family what they need, rather than what they want, telling her children:Â “I will do my best to make sure you always have what you need, but I want you pining towards something. I want you to work for something, to dream of it, to will it to happen.”
