With Katy Perry due any day, Orlando Bloom reveals how his son feels about getting a new baby sister
Nine-year-old Flynn has two brothers from his mum, Miranda Kerr.
As Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom prepare to welcome their first child together, the Pirates of the Caribbean star has opened up about how his son, Flynn took the baby news.
Orlando, who co-parents his son with his ex-wife, Miranda Kerr, says his son can’t wait to become a big brother again.
“Flynn couldn’t be more excited to be getting a little sister,” the 43-year-old tells HELLO! magazine.
“He’s already got two brothers from Miranda [Kerr]. So although the circumstances are definitely unusual, this is a wonderful time for us.”
Orlando also told the magazine that he and Katy are open to a home-birth.
“We’re taking it day by day. We have a hospital picked out, but every other option is on the table, because it needs to be,” he explains.
“Katy’s sister had home births and it’s not something she’s afraid to do if she needs to. We just have to see how things pan out.”
The Lord of the Rings star has also recently spoken about the possibility of moving his family to Australia.
“As we’re about to bring a baby into the world, and I think everybody’s exploring all thoughts and ideas, I definitely wouldn’t rule Australia out,” he told News Corp.
Orlando explained that his marriage to Aussie supermodel Miranda Kerr lead him to fall for the ‘land down under’.
“I’ve always had an affinity for Australia and Australians, having been married to one,” he said.
“It’d be definitely right up there on my list of favourites.”
‘To be a father again is wonderful, both for me and for Katy,’ he added.
Both Katy and Orlando have been keeping fans regularly updated on their pregnancy since announcing it earlier this year.
Recently, Orlando posted a hilarious video clip of Katy being poked by her fiance, before getting out of the car, and dancing alongside the vehicle while it continues to move. Katy can then be seen lifting up her top and showing off her burgeoning bump as she continues to bust a move.
