Katy Perry says her pregnancy to Orlando Bloom “wasn’t an accident”!
The singer announced her beautiful news in a new video clip for 'Never Worn White' on Thursday
Katy Perry has pulled off the most Rockstar move of 2020 by announcing that she’s expecting her first baby with fiancé, Orlando Bloom in a music video clip for her new single, Never Worn White on Thursday. And while the rest of the world may have been delightfully shocked, it seems the happy parents-to-be might have known this was coming.
The 35 year old Roar declared: “It wasn’t an accident,” during a conversation with SiriusXM’s Mikey Piff. “I’ve just been trying to create this space in my own life where I’m not running myself too ragged and creating space for something new to pop in like this.”
For Katy, who was previously married to British comedian, Russell Brand this will be baby #1, while 43-year-old Orlando, shares 9-year-old son Flynn with his ex-wife, Aussie supermodel Miranda Kerr.

It was certainly a creative and clever pregnancy announcement! At the end of video for Never Worn White the American Idol judge is seen to begin caressing her belly in a white dress before turning to a side profile in the final shot, where a new sheer dress is backlit to show her burgeoning bump in all it’s glory.
Katy jumped onto Instagram Live after the music video premiered on YouTube, to confirm that this clip did in fact mean that she was pregnant.
“There’s a lot that will be happening this summer,” the mum-to-announced. “Not only will I be giving birth – literally – but also figuratively, to something you guys have been waiting for.”
Katy has responded to the congratulations flooding in from fans declaring: “Thank you, I’m excited, we’re excited and happy,” and called it “probably the longest secret” she has “ever had to keep.”
Katy has also taken to Twitter to joke that she’s: “so glad I don’t have to suck it in anymore!”
Katy says both she and Orlando have been “looking forward to this new interval of life and sharing this.”
The pop star has also been proud to talk about the fact that she’ll be joining the working mother brigade.
During her chat with SiriusXM Hits 1 Katy said: “I’m joining the force of working mums out there and that is a very strong force.”
“I love what I do and it doesn’t feel like work and it brings me so much joy, so I just want to continue that state of joy.”
As for her pregnancy cravings, it seems like not too much has changed for the ever-hungry star!
“That’s why nobody really [suspected] anything,” she confessed. “Because I’ve always been hungry, and I’ve never liked [doing] crunches, so they just thought I was curvy and hungry. And yes, I am curvy and hungry!”
