The ex-wife of pop star Peter Andre is a mum-of-five.

Former glamour model and TV star, Katie Price has revealed her 18-year-old son, Harvey is currently in intensive care after he was rushed to hospital with breathing problems.

On Instagram last night, Katie, 42 told her 2.2 million followers: “I can confirm Harvey is in intensive care and in the best hands and would like to thank the ambulance services and the hospital staff for the quick response and making him stable.”

It is the second time Harvey has needed hospital treatment in two weeks after he became unwell at sister Princess’ 13th birthday at their Surrey home in England.

On Sunday evening, a representative confirmed the teen is at risk of organ failure after his temperature reached 42 degrees over the weekend.

Harvey suffers from numerous health conditions. He has the rare genetic condition Prader-Willi syndrome, which can cause weight gain and behavioural problems, and is also partially blind and on the autistic spectrum.

A source told The Sun: “Katie has been preparing herself for this moment all his life and she’s been told Harvey is in a perilous condition. She’s been here before, but this time it’s far more serious.

“She’s trying to be tough and strong, but inside she’s falling apart and feels helpless.”

Katie was said to be “devastated” that she was not allowed to stay overnight with Harvey in ICU due to COVID-19 visiting restrictions.

As well as Harvey, whose dad is former Manchester United footballer Dwight Yorke, Katie has Princess and Junior, 15, with ex-husband, British-Australian pop singer Peter Andre.

Katie also has two children, Jett, six, and Bunny, five, with ex-husband and British reality television star, Kieran Hayler.

Speaking to The Sun earlier this month Katie revealed doctors told her Harvey is at serious risk of dying from a heart attack if he does not lose weight.

“When Harvey went into hospital, I feared the worst. I always do,” she said.

“The doctors have told me he’s at high risk of having a heart attack.”

To mark, Harvey’s 18th birthday in May, Katie posted a sweet tribute to her son alongside some adorable pictures of Harvey as a baby.

“Happy Birthday to my Harvey Price. What a journey the last 18 years have been,” she began.  ⁣

“You’ve defied all the odds and proven that you will not let your disabilities stop you. ⁣They said you’d never be able to read, but you love reading to your younger brothers and sisters.⁣

“Your talent has no boundaries with your artwork on public display at Gatwick airport, designed your own greeting cards for Anna Kennedy Online and raising funds for the NHS by designing your own T-shirt.⁣

“You light up a room with your unique humour and you have everybody in stitches.⁣ You keep me entertained with your diverse taste in music and keyboard skills, from Beethoven to Queen.⁣ Harvey Price, you make me so proud every single day.⁣”

Katie signed off the post: “Mum x”
