Celebs hits back at parenting critics: “Worry about your own children”

At the premiere of The Kardashians, the glamourous family was photographed on the red carpet and Khloe Kardashian was quickly criticised on social media for carrying her daughter True.

Every picture showed the 36-year-old mum holding her four-year-old daughter with ex-partner Tristan Thompson – something that the online world took issue with. The famous family is always exposed to criticism, but they take issue when their parenting is attacked.

Writing on Twitter, Khloe said: “For the people who comment that I hold True too much … number 1 I’m gonna hold my baby until I can’t hold her anymore. Number 2 when there’s tons of cameras around, flashing lights, paps yelling things …

“I want my baby to feel safe. Worry about your own children. We good over here.”

And Khloe isn’t the only Kardashian on the receiving end of the online jibes…

Kim Kardashian, mum to North(9), Saint (7), Chicago (4) and Psalm (nearly 3) with her ex Kanye West is constantly under fire for her parenting skills. The makeup mogul shared a lovely family photo but all anyone could focus on was North’s lipstick. “Let a child be a child while she can!! And red lipstick wow!!” one commenter mocked the post. “I wasn’t even allowed to wear that until i was ’18’! Be [sic] a celebrity shouldn’t make it ok!”

Her second child, Saint, has also fallen prey to eagle-eyed parents. When the mum shared a cute pic of her carrying Chicago with Saint walking by her side, followers were quick to judge the use of a dummy, to which Kim replied “P.S. mom shammers [sic] it’s not a pacifier, he’s eating candy!” she captioned the pic. A user still commented back: “1. Go back to school…its SHAMERS 2. Ummm….is candy supposed to be better??”

As well as being called out for posing topless with one Chicago for the launch a KKW Beauty product, the second-eldest Kardashian has been blasted for kissing her baby on the lips (David and Victoria Beckham have been damned for the same ‘crime’).

Meanwhile, Kourtney has come under fire for showing a photo of Penelope and Reign sitting on the hood of a Mercedes-Benz. Many felt like she was doing a “dangerous” thing by showing off her wealth, particularly after Kim Kardashian was robbed.

Other personal attacks include judging the sister for not spending time with her children. “Oh wow you’re with your kids finally????” said one poster in response to a family snap of Mason, 12, Penelope 9, and Reign 7.

“I’m with my kids every day thank God, social media isn’t always real life,” replied the Poosh creator who  has also been admonished for kissing her kids on the lips.

Reign’s hair has also been regularly commented on for being too long – “All this time, I thought she was a girl”, said one. After Kourtney told fans “need to not worry about kids that aren’t her own,” Reign’s long locks were sheared off.

When Penelope was dressed up as Ariel from The Little Mermaid, ‘fans’ were quick to question if the dye was temporary

“As women, we should be supporting each other for what allows us to be our best, not being so critical and judgmental of each other. We all do things our own way,” the reality tv star has said.

Kylie Jenner’s pregnancy with Travis Scott was a very well-kept secret but the claws came out not long after the birth and for Kylie it was for oversharing photos of their daughter Stormi (4), and later it was because she wasn’t spending enough time to her (according to social shares).

Names are always the first things to be discussed and dissected – and Stormie Webster was subtly renamed Stormi (without the ‘e’) without anyone really noticing – although Kylie says she’s still not sure she’s that keen on the name. Unlike her baby brother Wolf (born Feb 2022), whose named lasted for a month before the 24-year-old star revealed that the name “wasn’t him”.

Bets are on that the new name will be shared on the new TV show, The Kardashians.
