Jana Pittman’s twins are here “Now there are 6 … Head over heels in love!'”
"Have lots of interesting postpartum stuff to share over the coming weeks!"
Huge congratulations to Jana Pittman who has given birth to her boy-girl twins at 35 weeks!
The darling duo were born on Tuesday March 22, 2022, Jana has revealed on Instagram on Friday March 25, bringing her cute kid count to six! Jana and husband Paul Gatward haven’t revealed the twins’ names yet but we can’t wait to find out.
We bet their four older siblings – Cornelius, Charlie, Emily and Jemima – can’t wait to spoil them rotten!
Jana posted that she’ll be offline for a little as the babies came a little early – 35 weeks fall into the preterm/premmie age range, but she posted some updates of Easter fun for her younger children plus shared a revealing video of her postpartum stomach.
“The human body will never cease to amaze me!!”
“Wow, what a whirlwind few weeks, still in a baby bubble 👶🏼👶🏼. Have lots of interesting postpartum stuff to share over the coming weeks!” she shared on April 4, 13 days after the births.
Never one to shy away from the realities of pregnancy and childbirth – for which her followers thank you – Jana’s post-partum belly that shows the extent that her abdominal muscles have separated.
Watch the video below…
“Check this out 🧐… My ‘diastasis recti’ aka post baby abdominal wall separation,” Jana captioned the video as she gently pokes and prods her stomach.
“An issue that happens to many of us especially those with big babies or multiple pregnancies but often is a bit of a shock. Physio and core work can make a huge difference to ‘recti-fying’ this issue 🤪,” she jokes.
The doctor and mum-of-six recommends finding a good physio to “rebuild that beautiful postpartum body”.
As Jana’s family continues to get used to the two new additions, life carries on for the siblings and they are getting into the Easter spirit. Posting to Instagram, the proud mum said that it “takes a village” and thank her best friend Ally for taking her girls to @bunnings Easter Day”.

Soooo much fun!! Well done Bunnings for a great free kids morning. Kids so impressed they got to keep their work vests, Bunnings blocks and bunny ears!
“Thanks to everyone for your amazing support over the last few months. Feeling so grateful to our amazing birth and postnatal team. My obstetrician @dr.basg was amazing!!!”
“And now there are 6….
Just a little announcement to let everyone know we will be offline for a little while as our beautiful twins arrived a little earlier than expected but we are all well.
Head over heels in love❤️❤️”
“Thanks to my bestie @gone_solo_mum for your support and these wonderful photos x”
Jana shared this lovely snap alongside a video of her massaging her bare twin tummy.
“Just another beautiful photo of my little ones at a recent shoot we did for a new ambassador role. Could I be more blessed 💕
Great shots” Jana posted on Instagram.
“P.s As I am writing this my eldest, the one giving me a cuddle said “sorry mum but you have smashed that bee (my used to be small tattoo).. it will never be the same”😝”
Kisses for 👶🏼👶🏼”
“This will be my #5th labour and every one has been amazing, challenging and very different.”
At 24 weeks’ pregnant, Jane looked stunning (and ready to pop!).
“Twins continue to grow… getting bigger and bigger. Look almost full term and only 24/40! Have a feeling the I wont get away without stretch marks this pregnancy 🤰🏼”
The SAS Australia alum shared a series of pictures of her gorgeous baby bump in Instagram in early March, and revealed details about the final stage of her pregnancy.
“Time to start my birth practice with hopefully about 5wks to go!” the star wrote. “This will be my #5th labour and every one has been amazing, challenging and very different.
“The last 2 births I have used #hypnobirthing to prepare.. it really helped get me physically and mentally ready for birth!”
Hypnobirthing refers to using self-hypnosis, breathing techniques, and relaxation methods as a means of pain relief.
The doctor was soon inundated with messages of support from her fans.
“You look the picture of health ❤️ All the best in your birth preparations,” one follower wrote.
“Hopefully less painful than SAS Australia,” another penned. “We all know you can handle pain!!! Good luck ahead. Exciting times ❤️”
The mum-of-six revealed she was expecting twins exclusively to New Idea in October 2021.
“I never thought I’d have six children,” Jana, the last woman standing on SAS revealed. “I don’t know how we are going to cope. How will we all fit into my car? I can see life is going to be a logistical nightmare.”
The ex-Olympian looked a picture of health prior to the birth, but her twin pregnancy wasn’t without its issues – including severe varicose veins.
“Early on, I used to wonder: ‘Why am I so nauseous?’ None of my other babies made me feel sick,” Jana explained, admitting the varicose veins on her left leg are very real, too. “I pondered if I had twins on board.”
Her finance lawyer husband, Paul Gatward, was ecstatic about having two additions to their ‘Brady Bunch’ family. “Paul never thought he’d have children, so he’s ecstatic. And I’m stoked because I love the idea of having a beautiful, big family for the rest of my life.”
We can’t wait to see more of Jana’s new babies!
