Late last year, Gogglebox Australia stars Matty and Sarah Marie Fahd announced the beautiful news that they’re expecting their second child.
“Our family is growing! We’re so excited to welcome a new Fahd to the family in 2023,” they shared to Instagram, alongside a post of their first-born child Malik holding up a sign saying ‘Big Brother 2023’.
“Malik has already started prepping to be a big brother, reciting endless lists of the things he will be playing with his new sibling and writing up the ‘Bulldogs for Dummies’ playbook. Bane [our dog] was asked to participate in this photo but instead chose to piss on the front porch (thankfully out of shot).”
Malik is getting ready to be a big bro!
Matty took to Instagram on Monday to share a video from the gender reveal party where the couple and Malik popped the balloon containing confetti revealing the gender inside. (Watch the fun video below)
“Our gender reveal & celebration with our family,” Matty began.
“Life does not get much better than in moments like this. Malik, Mum & Dad, cannot wait to welcome our baby earth side.”
And the gorgeous family is having a boy!
Sarah Marie and Matty Fahd are two-thirds of one of Gogglebox Australia’s favourite trios alongside pal, Jad. But lately it’s been the littlest member of their gang who’s stealing the show.
The Sydneysiders welcomed their first child together, baby Malik in November 2019, and have given us glimpses into life at home with him on the show’s seasons since. Little Malik regularly joins them on the couch contributing to the chats about what Aussies are watching at home.
Recently, the Fahd family celebrated Malik’s third birthday fit with “two parties, three cakes, 30 kids and 40kg of Tabouli”.
“There’s so much love in the house,” Matty said to The Latch when speaking about fatherhood.
“There’s so much love for him that if every day I had to just take care of him it would be such a great thing to do. [With the first pregnancy] I was super protective of Sarah – making sure the pregnancy went as smoothly as possible.”
As for preparing for baby number two, the proud dad explained that “every parent’s journey is really different”.
“You can prepare for it – which I absolutely recommend doing whatever you can when it comes to preparing the right things to buy for the baby – but in terms of trying to prepare your life and your lifestyle, you can’t prepare for it because you don’t know what type of child you’re going to have and you don’t know what type of experience Mum is going to have with breastfeeding and I just think everyone’s journey is really different.”
While Matty and Sarah Marie did not share details of Malik’s birth at the time, the couple had previously revealed plans for a C-section after the procedure was recommended to Sarah-Marie, due to the fact she has previously suffered a brain haemorrhage.
“My obstetrician and neurosurgeon prefer I have a caesarean which means our baby may be born a bit earlier than planned,” the Gogglebox star previously told news.com.au
“Of course it’s scary and the healing takes longer but I am happy with whatever is safest for me and the baby.”
And we’re so glad it all went well because the trio have fast become firm favourites.

Getting close!
Looking absolutely gorgeous in a stunning Camilla gown, Sarah-Marie shared that she’s done with events and preparing to rest before her new baby arrives.
“Last event before baby number 2 arrives” she shared. “My feet were swollen and i was sore the next day from doing nothing but sitting at the table 😅 time to just take it easy i think.
“I can’t wait to meet you my little munchkin 🙏🏽”

The gorgeous trio stepped out to celebrate Matty’s birthday in late April.

Sarah Marie ponders whether baby #2 should get a baby shower
When pregnant with Malik, Sarah Marie had a lavish safari-themed baby shower, complete with decadent cake, safari styling and bohemian teepees.
Now the star, who is 31 weeks along in her second pregnancy wonders if a baby shower is the right thing to do the second time around.
Posting a sweet image of her burgeoning bump, the Gogglebox star asked her fans for their “thoughts” on the matter.
“I did a maternity shoot and baby shower with Malik but I’m unsure weather or not to do one this time around,” she shared.
“I’ve been asked about this a few times now and need help deciding. What are your thoughts on doing a maternity shoot and/or a baby shower for the second time around? Yay or nay?”
The resounding response was YES! Do it.
One commenter was clear: “Yay absolutely, each baby is such a blessing and deserves to be celebrated!”
Another shared: “Absolutely do both! This baby deserves to be celebrated just as much as Malik. For the shower, do a “sprinkle” – less focus on gifts, more focus on the time together with friends/family and positive vibes for your little one ❤️”
Others were quick to offer suggestions for her second baby shower such as: “Maybe ask for donations to a charity instead of gifts” or asking for books to build up a “lovely little library”.

In late February, the trio discovered the gender of their new arrival with a fun balloon reveal that let them know another little boy is on the way!
Sarah-Marie embraces the cooler weather
The stunning mum gave thanks for a cool change, revealing that she’d been “sweating up a storm being pregnant in all this heat!”
Matty’s sister, Cherine will be in the room again
Matty took a trip down memory lane, sharing an image with his Instagram fans of a hospital scene from baby Malik’s arrival.
He wrote: “As we prepare for our next child, I’ve been looking back at the day Malik arrived & just love seeing my sister @cherinefahd in the theatre room with us.”
He went to share his gratitude, saying that he and Sarah-Marie “were so happy to have Cherine there on the day” and revealing that they had “invited her back again for round 2 🤣”.
Sarah-Marie offers maternity fashion tips
Glowing on a night out for her and Matty’s anniversary, Sarah-Marie shared a “Maternity fashion tip”.
She wrote: “So far I’ve been sizing up on regular clothes rather than buying anything ‘maternity’. For example, this slip dress has adjustable straps so i was able to size up to fit my baby bump and then shorten/lengthen the straps as i needed.
The mesh top underneath also has plenty of stretch!”
Sarah-Marie stuns in Camilla
Looking absolutely incredible as she and Malik wore Camilla for the designer’s morning tea launch of the Camilla x Disney collaboration.
“This collection incorporates Mickey and Mini Mouse in all designs and is launching in March 2023,” she wrote. “So proud of you!”
Wedding wow!
Once again donning Camilla, the stunning expecting mum, bared her belly as she and Matty headed to the Hunter Valley for a “gorgeous wedding “.
