CONFIRMED: Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have welcomed their baby!

At last we have the confirmation we have been waiting for, Gigi Hadid has given birth to her first child with partner Zayn Malik!
After much speculation last week that their daughter was here, today the model and the former One Direction band member revealed their happy news on Twitter, along with a beautiful black and white image of their bub’s precious hand nestled with her daddy’s.
Zayn took took to Twitter to make the announcement: “Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful to try put into words how i am feeling right now would be an impossible task.
“The love i feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together x”

Last week all indications pointed to the fact that supermodel Gigi Hadid had welcomed her first child.
Fans ears pricked up when Gigi’s younger sister, 23yo Bella Hadid posted a pic of the siblings, captioned with a baby angel emoji and: “I love you both so freaking much -can’tstopcrying.”
But it was a tear jerking post from the pair’s father, 71yo Mohamed Hadid that seemed to have sealed the deal.
Posting a tender poem, titled “Grandpa’s Heart” for his granddaughter on Instagram Wednesday, the successful real estate developer wrote: “Hello little grandchild, it’s me, my heart as happy as can be. I wish for you the sun and moon. I wish for you a happy time.’
“Know that Grandpa’s always near, I’ll do anything, anything for you my dear,” wrote the proud grandfather who shares Gigi, Bella and son Anwar with ex, model 56yo Yolanda Hadid.
“When I heard you were on the way, I smiled and wiped a tear away. I cried the tear because I know, my heart would always belong to you,” he finished before signing off.
25yo Gigi confirmed the pregnancy news via video chat on the Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. Gigi told Jimmy Fallon that their baby news broke before she and 27yo Zayn had a chance to share it with everyone themselves.
“Obviously, you know, we wish we could’ve announced it on our own terms, but we’re very excited and happy and grateful for everyone’s well wishes and support,” she said.
“Especially during this time, it’s a nice silver lining to be able to like, be home and together and like, really experience it day by day.”

Throughout most of her pregnancy the 25-year-old kept out of the spotlight, but it might not be for the reasons you’d expect!
In an Instagram Live (video below) the mum-to-be finally addressed her pregnancy with fans.
“I am so grateful for the positive comments and the questions and wanting just to know that we’re all good and safe, and everything’s going great and I love you guys. I do appreciate those positive comments,” the model said in the video.
“Obviously, I think a lot of people are confused why I’m not sharing more, but like, I’m pregnant through a pandemic. Like, obviously my pregnancy is not the most important thing going on in the world,” she added.
Gigi added that because of the current pandemic, she felt her pregnancy was “not really something” that she needs to share, apart from with family and friends.
“Obviously a lot of people have lost lives due to coronavirus — that was in the beginning of quarantine and still happening – and then we moved obviously into the reemergence of the BLM movement, and I thought that our presence on social media should be used for that.”

The model added that despite this, she’s been taking a lot of pictures of her bump and documenting the pregnancy but wants to experience everything without worrying about being in the public eye.
“I just don’t want to worry about waking up every day during my pregnancy and, like, worry about having to like look cute or post something,”
Confessing that she only wanted to wear loose-fitting clothes, Gigi showed a peek of her belly with her linen shirt unbuttoned.
“There’s my belly, y’all,” she said, flashing a peace sign adding, “Like, it’s there.”

Gigi and the Pillowtalk singer broke up in January 2019 with sources saying the two reconciled late last year.
“Gigi and Zayn got back together right before the holidays in December,” the insider told E! News. “Zayn has been reaching out to Gigi for the last month and she is giving him another chance.”
“She has always loved him and the break between the two was needed,” the source added. “Zayn has been working on his past music and focusing on his health and is in a really good place currently.”
