"Her eyes following pictures of King Charles leading the procession after Queen Elizabeth’s coffin makes it way through Edinburgh. A moment that will remain etched in my mind forever..."

The loss of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll who passed away 8 September at age 96 has become a moment etched in time for millions the world over.

While Her Majesty may not have popped into our heads often in our day-to-day life, her loss has seen us pause and reflect on her legacy, the incredible life that she lived and the way we have been impacted by that life in ways we’d never imagined.

Summing up the feelings many of us have right now is mum-of-three Chezzi Denyer who took to Instagram to share her capture of a sweet moment where her youngest daughter, Sunday, watched the Royal Procession on television.

Chezzi Denyer shared an image of sweet Sunday watching the Royal Procession.

Forty-two-year-old Chezzi, who shares three daughters with television host Grant Denyer, eloquently described how that “moment” will stay with with her.

The IT’S ALL TRUE? podcaster wrote: “Her little face. Clasping her toastie tightly. Watching the TV so intently. Her eyes following pictures of King Charles leading the procession after Queen Elizabeth’s coffin makes it way through Edinburgh. A moment that will remain etched in my mind forever…”

Chezzi went on to ask: “It just seems so surreal doesn’t it? Seeing so many people mourning such a magnificent woman. It’s overwhelming.”

Like many of us, Chezzi shared her disbelief that “she has gone”, reflecting on the all of the small ways Her Majesty became a part of our everyday lives.

“The woman with such grace, style and elegance whom I grew up knowing so well, from afar. Her face adorns our coins. Our notes. I feel I see her everyday.” she shared.

“I just find there’s something very sad about that …”

It was little Sunday’s face watching hing the procession, however, that caused a kind of grief for Chezzi as she thought about the fact that Her Majesty might not impact her little life the way she had hers.

“She was Queen in my Grandparents era,” Chezzi wrote. “She reigned through my parents generation. And mine, and yet it dawned on me today that Sunday won’t ever know this strong remarkable woman. She will only know what she reads about her and her time in history books. She won’t feel the familiar warm feeling when she sees pictures of her like I do.”

The mum-of-three concluded her poignant post with: “And I just find there’s something very sad about that.”
