Olympian, yoga teacher and mum-of-three, Libby Trickett – who is expecting her fourth child in 2023 – has shared a heartwarming post as her second daughter, Edwina attends her first day of school and we’re not teary … you are!
Libby, who has daughters Poppy, seven, Edwina, four, and three-year-old, Bronte, with her husband Luke Trickett, sums up the feelings of every parent watching their child head off to school for the first time.

Libby’s eldest two daughters are back at school.
Alongside a series of images of Poppy and Edwina dressed in their school uniforms, the 37yo retired Australian swimmer shared: “Another milestone hit. Another kid off to school.
“Life really does happen at a million miles an hour doesn’t it?”
“A second ago, we were bringing Eddie home from the hospital, navigating tongue ties, mastitis, a disorganised suck and a dairy intolerance,” she continued.
“Now, she’s our big preppie who 30 seconds after we arrived in her classroom, looked like she’d been there for years.”
“I just want to marinate in these moments. I am insufferably proud of these girls and annoyingly proud of our amazing family team,” she wrote.
“Who could’ve wished for more? ❤️”

In December 2022, Libby announced she was expecting her fourth child.
“Luke and I are absolutely thrilled (and ever so slightly terrified) to announce that we will be welcoming Baby Trickett 4.0 into the world in May!!” she shared to her Instagram followers.
“Poppy is not sure she’s ready for another baby, Eddie thinks it will be a little girl and Bronte is excited to be a big sister but really has no idea what’s she’s in for.”

Tori Rees who shares seven-year-old, Lenny and three-year-old twin boys, Mack and Vinny – with comedian Jimmy Rees shared a touching post as Lenny returned to school.
“I pinch myself everyday! First day of year 2 for my biggest boy!” she wrote.
Fifi Box’s girls are off – with Daisy having an emotional first day of kinder
Radio host Fifi Box shared a series of images showing nine-year-old, Trixie Belle with three-year-old, Daisy.
Fifi’s post touched on Daisy’s first day of kindergarten which was emotion for both mama and daughter.
“First day of 3 year old kinder for Daisy and after an anxious start I was so proud of her, my little baby making her first steps into the big wide world 💕🥰,” she wrote.
Fifi, 45 shares her eldest child with her ex-partner Grant Kenny, and she raises her alongside her youngest daughter, Daisy, who she conceived via IVF with the help of a sperm donor.

As little Evie excitedly heads off to Year Two, her mum, Carrie Bickmore takes note of the vast difference to her first year of school.
Sharing a pic of the pair hugging while Evie offers an enthusiastic thumbs up, Carrie wrote: “Heading into prep … lots of tears every drop off.

Nikki Webster celebrates youngest child starting school with music video
Nikki Webster was 13 when she shot to fame in the Opening Ceremony of the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
Now, the 35-year-old mum to Skylah, eight, and Malakai, five, is looking forward to sending her youngest off for his first day of school.
To celebrate the milestone, she has released a catchy song, Starting School.
“We thought it would be great to unite all young ones heading to school for the first time with a fun little song and music video that focuses on the positive aspects of schooling,” she says.
“I have mixed emotions about my youngest starting school, it’s such an exciting milestone but also, my baby is becoming a big boy!
“I can only hope that both Malakai and Skylah are provided with the same wonderful opportunities and time at school as I enjoyed when I was a child,” she added.
