Mum goes viral for slamming Bluey’s cartoon family for being so ‘rich’

An infuriated mum has blasted the cartoon family in the hit TV show Bluey for being rich and credits money as the reason why they’re parent goals.
In an anonymous post shared on Reddit, the mum complained Bluey’s mum and dad, Bandit and Chilli Heeler, are only great parents because they’re ‘millionaires’.
“Confession: It bothers me that the Heelers are wealthy,” she wrote.
“It’s been estimated that the Heeler home is worth at least $1-$2million, if not more. It’s hard to say exactly because the floor plan changes to fit the needs of the story. A few real estate articles say $4million, but $1-2million seems to be the most realistic answer,” she continues in the online rant.

“Every once in a while, the thought creeps into my mind that the reason they are such amazing parents are because they are millionaires.”
The poster did credit The Heelers for being “fantastic people who live frugally and don’t flaunt their money” but believed they were such “wonderfully involved parents” was because they could “afford to be”.
She says, “They live in a great neighbourhood, send their kids to fantastic schools, and their jobs seem to be very flexible so they spend a lot of time home with their kids”.
The women finished the post, writing: “As a parent who isn’t wealthy, it’s a little discouraging”.

It didn’t take long before the woman’s post went viral, with people calling out the mum for being outraged over the wealth of a cartoon family.
“They’re also talking dogs, which I’ll never be,” commented on person.
Added another: “Spoiler alert: it’s a cartoon”.
“Dear god, it’s a cartoon. Are you also upset SpongeBob lives in a two storey home by himself off a fry cook salary?” questioned another.
Other people were quick to offer thoughts on how the Heelers ended up living is such a spacious home.
“I’m pretty sure Bandit grew up in the house he lives in and inherited it from Nana Heeler. It also explains why he is so close with Pat and Wendy (and also why Stripe is friends with Pat),” suggested one person.
Another added: “Maybe they inherited the house. I mean, Nana lives in an apartment complex, right? And they’ve been living in these places since Bluey was born.”
