The world’s most beloved blue heeler and his loveable family are set to take centre stage in an upcoming television special, that will explore the world of Bluey further than ever before.

Announced at the annual ABC Upfronts event in November 2023, the episode will be 28 minutes long – almost four times the length of the standard Bluey episode, which averages at 7 minutes long.

The extra long episode will be called The Sign and was commissioned after fans of the Aussie animation begged creator and writer Joe Brumm, and production house Ludo Studio to give them more Bluey – something both are thrilled to finally be able to deliver!

Hinting at what fans of the show can expect in the upcoming Bluey special, Ludo Studio said there would be “lots of laughs, exciting guest voices, and definitely a few tears.”

“We’re so incredibly proud of the awesome team behind the series and we can’t wait for Australia and the world to watch this very special Bluey episode with their family and friends,” they added.
