"People thought that I was setting a bad example!"

Bachelor star, Anna Heinrich has passionately defended herself and other celebrity mums who face a torrent of abuse online for the decisions they make as mums – particularly about the way they look and the images they share.

As a guest on the Morning Show on Monday, the 34yo lawyer addressed the particularly vicious trolling she received over a bikini photo she posted in November last year, just two weeks after giving birth to her daughter Elle.

The new mum shared a series of images from her 34th birthday, which was spent on board a yacht in the sunshine on Sydney Harbour with husband 38yo Tim Robards and their friends. those images drew the scorn of some who claimed that Anna was perpetuating unrealistic expectation upon new mums to bounce back to their bikini bodies.

“The intention behind the image wasn’t to say, ‘look at me, look at my body, look how I’ve recovered,'” said Anna. “I put it up because I was having a great time!”

“I’m not trying to make anyone feel bad, I’m just living my life.”

“People thought that was setting a bad example [by posting the photo], but I don’t go out with the intention of putting up images to make other people feel bad,” said the Trial by Kyle star.

“I had an article in Sunday’s paper, it was saying we’ve got to stop criticising people and [social media photos are] not putting pressure on women to bounce back.

“Also, people bounce back in different ways and it shouldn’t matter what people look like after pregnancy.”

The Morning Show host Kylie Gillies, pressed Anna on the subject and received a very passionate reply in which the new mum stated that people shouldn’t be criticising each other online at all.
“I feel like people shouldn’t be criticising either way. Full stop,” Anna urged. “That goes for everything, not even when it comes to your body. Instagram is that platform where people think they’re allowed to criticise. It’s got to stop, people have to be more kind to people.”
Anna also addressed the fact that fellow new celebrity-mum, American model Emily Ratajkowski was recently criticised for sharing an image of her post-baby body which looked taught and toned.

The reality star defended Emily, saying she didn’t think Emily’ “intentions were bad” and reiterating that is no right way to have a “mum body” or recover from childbirth.

Anna is is now focusing on raising Elle who is an adorable six months of age.
“I’m not trying to make anyone feel bad, I’m just living my life. Instagram is a fraction of what I am.”
