"First of all, she's my child. Don't tell me how to parent."

Pregnant, Australian Survivor Allstar, Moana Hope has taken on a parent-shaming commenter on Tuesday after they criticised the mum-of-one for sharing a photo of their daughter Svea, one, wearing just a nappy to their Instagram stories.

The 33yo former AFLW star took to their Instagram stories in a series of short videos (see above) addressing the accusation and highlighting just how problematic the troll’s way of thinking is in an epic rant.

“I had a message from a woman who told me I need to cover up my child, put clothes on my child and not be showing her naked body so much as it’s not okay,” began the star who is 20 weeks into her pregnancy. “So many things wrong with this message”.

“Would you send me this exact message if she was a boy?”

The commenter took issue with images of 15-month-old Svea, who Moana shares with wife, model and influencer Isabella Carlstrom, being snapped over summer wearing just a nappy.

Moana continued: “I responded [to her], ‘Would you send me this exact message if she was a boy in a nappy with no top on?’ And her answer was, ‘No, because it’s okay for boys not to have tops on’.

“That blew my fricken’ mind!”

Moana Hope has taken on a parent-shaming commenter who had a problem with an image of their daughter Svea, one, wearing just a nappy.

“They are not anybody’s sexual object”

The star continued to beautifully articulate the problematic theme of the troll’s issue.

“And why do people continuously have to sexualise women’s breasts?” Mona asked. “Women’s breasts are there to breastfeed a child if they can and want to.

“They are not anybody’s sexual object, so [the fact] that you’re sexualising my toddler’s boobs says more about you than me.”

Conceding that the online space can be challenging for parents, Moana concluded: “I fully understand social media can be a double-edged sword… and people have bad intentions, but we are not going to stop living our life in fear of those types of people.”
