The awkward meaning of Kylie Jenner’s son’s new name has the internet losing it’s mind

"That poor kid is going to be renamed again!"

Last weekend, two weeks before her son’s first birthday, 25yo Kylie Jenner revealed her little boy’s name is Aire.

Sharing photos of her gorgeous second child, Kylie simply captioned them “AIRE”, with which big sister Khloe replied “The king!!! Young king!!!!! 👑🤍🐐👑❤️” and the family’s matriarch posted “I love you Aire Webster ❤️”.

However eagle-eyed fans were quick to point out that Arabic meaning of “Aire” might not be something that Kylie and her partner, Travis Scott had considered when changing from their son’s initial name, Wolf.

Kylie’s son’s name has changed from “Wolf” to “Aire”.

Several of Kylie’s followers were quick to note the meaning of her son’s unusual name in Arabic, leading one of them to joke that the LA parents might consider changing their son’s name AGAIN once they find out.

Journalist Antoinette Lattouf tweeted: “Umm should someone tell Kylie Jenner she renamed her son Aire which is a common Arabic expression for “my penis” or nah?”

She posted a second Tweet, noting: “Anyway, I doubt many people have noticed. After all, Arabic is only spoken by around 415 million people.”

Gogglebox’s Matty Fahd posted his own hilarious reaction, captioned: “Every Arab and most people in South West Sydney this morning 🤦🏽‍♂️ #aire” Watch it below …

A Twitter user said in response, to Lattouf: “Let her be. I’m waiting for the episode where one of her sisters says “little Aire is getting so big.'”

The memes and GIFS that flooded Lattouf’s comment section prompted one commenter to respond: “I’m sorry but these jokes on Kylie Jenner naming her son Aire will never get old. Anyone who disagrees is a d*** (see what I did there).”

While another stated simply: “That poor kid is going to be renamed again.”

Kylie Jenner’s fans waited with bated breath to learn the name of her second baby, born on February 2, 2022 to her partner Travis Scott and they weren’t disappointed when ‘Wolf Webster’ was revealed 10 days after the birth.

A further six weeks later, it appears the Kardashian ‘cried wolf’…

She has posted a 10-minute video called ‘Our Son’ Youtube, which shows highlights from their positive pregnancy test through to the delivery suite and ends with the sound of her son’s newborn crying.

Whether it had anything to do with the social media feud between Kylie and Tammy Hembrow over the ‘stealing’ of the name Wolf, or whether it was an extra incentive for people to watch the new series The Kardashians for the big reveal was anyone’s guess.

Here’s hoping Aire sticks. And if you are inspired to try a little less awkward name in Arabic, you’ll love the gallery below.
