Just a week before her due date the influencer suffered a brain aneurysm…

Social influencer Jackie Miller James was just a week away from her due date when a devastating aneurysm saw her placed into a medically induced coma to protect her life and that of her baby.

Californian Jackie was found at home by her husband of one year, Austin, and she was rushed to hospital. On June 6, the 35yo delivered a healthy baby girl via emergency c-section while she was in a coma.

At the same time as Jackie was becoming a mum, she was also having brain surgery.

Jackie endured five brain surgeries

Almost a month after their daughter’s birth by caesarean, the new mum has been brought out of the coma and has been able to meet her newborn for the first time.

It’s been eerily quiet on Jackie’s socials for the past month while she had a terrifying five brain surgeries, but her family, including sisters Nicelle and Natalie, pinned Instagram post updates for all her followers.

The James family wrote:

“As many of you know, Jackie recently suffered an aneurysm rupture one week from her due date and is currently in a medically induced coma. While her baby girl is now healthy and home from NICU, Jackie will remain in hospital for the foreseeable future.”

The post thanked the community for their support and pointed followers to a GoFundMe page where people could donate as the family noted they are “commited to securing optimal care for the highest quality of life for Jackie”.

“Moments of anxiety and panic”

Sharing a beautiful, happy and healthy looking snap a few weeks before her fateful brain aneurysm, Jackie said “Officially 37 weeks today. Along with all the excitement, there’s definitely moments of anxiety and panic now that I’m so close.”

“However the biggest blessing has been being surrounded by so many friends and mama’s who have been on this journey already and have been such an inspiration and wealth of knowledge.”

Fast forward just a few weeks and her family were thanking everyone for their “the immense outpouring of love, support and generosity” after the unthinkable happened and Jackie suffered a tragic medical episode.

While Jackie’s 27 thousand followers had been holding their collective breath waiting to hear good news, they will now have to wait until the new mum is recovered enough to post to her own socials, “in her own unique way”.

“Jackie & Austin’s baby girl is a constant source of light for the entire family and continues to grow into a happy, healthy, and animated little angel. Jackie has also recently been reunited with her baby, and spends a great day with her entire family while in the hospital.”

The family says “we want to respect Jackie’s privacy during this very personal, intimate, and challenging time“.

We wish the new mum and her family the very best of luck with Jackie’s recovery.
