Influencer Amy Hembrow shares heartache as newborn son faces frightening health challenge

Amy Hembrow has shared an emotional update as her new son, one week old baby Jude, is rushed to the ER with health complications.
The 32-year-old sister of fitness influencer, Tammy Hembrow, shared a series of heartwrenching images from the hospital room as an update to her almost 300k followers.
Amy Hembrow faced every new parents greatest fear when her new son became ill.
Little Jude needed to be under lights as he dealt with jaundice and a rising temperature.
“The last couple days have been extremely hard,” wrote the mum-of-two. “When you have a baby/child it’s like having your heart outside your chest. Jude picked up a virus that’s going around which resulted in a really high temp (normally harmless but dangerous to babies) and coupled with bad jaundice we ended up in the ER and then admitted to hospital.”
Amy, who is also a mum to daughter, 2yo Aurora who she shares with husband Rory Carmody, went on to say that Jude was able to come home.
“We are home now and all I can say is I’m completely drained he isn’t 100% and I’m monitoring him 24/7 but grateful to have my baby recovering in my arms.”
The grateful mum took time to thank the medical staff who helped her through the challenging time.
“I’m extremely grateful to the wonderful nurses and medical staff who looked after us. And I say us because I honestly couldn’t stop crying and everyone was very empathetic and caring.
It was just last week that Amy shared the happy news of Jude’s safe arrival.
The beauty entrepreneur’s pregnancy was particularly special for her as her sister Tammy’s own pregnancy partially coincided with hers. Tammy welcomed her third child, Posy, with fiancé Matt Poole in June.
We’re wishing sweet little Jude a speedy recovery.
